Mr. Oudet Souvannavong, born the 4^th of February 1957 in Thakhek, Laos. He hold a Diploma of Education, Math and Physics from the Ecole Superieure de Pedagogie de Vientiane (now the National University of the Lao PDR), and a Post Graduate Certificate of Agriculture and Forest Industry Management, from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SUAS), Sweden. He started his carrier in 1981 as a planning officer and manager at a Forestry State Owned Company and pursued his profession as a consultant in agriculture and rural development for different International Development Agencies.

Since 2000 he went into business and is now the owner/partner in several businesses such as: Societe Commerciale Lao (SCL) Ltd (General Trading & Distribution); V&A Training Co., Ltd (Consumable Trading & Distribution), Muhibbah Engineering Laos Co., Ltd (Construction & Engineering); Y-Interchange Laos Co., Ltd (Logistics); Le Charme Vientiane Hotel (Hotel, Food & Beverages); Fuji Japanese Restaurants Laos (Food & Beverages); and Villa Opera Italian Restaurant (Food & Beverages).
